The Philosopher of Freike, Author of the Greater City

This book, written by Ameen Albert Rihani, the internationally renowned authority on the "philosopher of Freike" and founder and custodian of the world-famous Rihani Museum, is the most comprehensive intellectual biography on Ameen Rihani.

Ameen Albert Rihani is by far the most competent authority on Rihani scholarship. He has access to otherwise unavailable documents and manuscripts and a direct and intimate knowledge of Rihani, the man and the scholar. This inclusive study is authentically and exclusively documented and supplemented by references and sources that are only available to a select few through the Rihani private library and archives.

This intellectual thesis is the ultimate word and the definitive statement on Rihani scholarship. It is an encyclopedia of knowledge and a wealth of information that is a must read for any researcher or student of Ameen Rihani and his diverse and rich outpouring as a philosopher, writer, historian, spiritualist, scientist, poet, politician, traveler, explorer, and ultimately, as a peace maker and a firm believer in Arab unity and world unison and harmony.

This book explores Rihani’s insatiable thirst for knowledge and wisdom, which were for him, the bridge between the East and the West. Rihani was a strong believer in the unity and revival of the Arab Empire. He was the mirror that reflected the culture of an entire epoch and on which the civilization of the East and the West revealed themselves at their best.
